Two Sessions, One Story: The Beauty of Booking a Maternity & Newborn Package

Let’s be honest—pregnancy and those early newborn days can go by in a bit of a blur. That’s exactly why I offer a maternity and newborn photography package: to help you capture this fleeting chapter before it rushes past. One minute you’re counting down the weeks, and the next you’re cradling this tiny little human who’s suddenly the centre of your whole world.

When you book your newborn session, your maternity shoot is on me. It’s a relaxed way to get comfortable in front of the camera and capture a few special moments before baby arrives.

Why a Maternity and Newborn Photography Package Just Makes Sense

Booking both your maternity and newborn sessions as a package just makes sense—practically and emotionally.

✨ It’s one booking, one photographer, and one relaxed process.
✨ There’s no extra charge for the maternity shoot—it’s included as a thank you for trusting me to capture your baby’s first moments.
✨ You’ll have a consistent look and feel across both sessions, so your photos flow beautifully into albums and wall displays.
✨ And most importantly, it tells the full story. From growing your little one to holding them in your arms.

Lots of the mums I meet haven’t had photos taken since their wedding, and this feels like a completely different kind of special. The sessions are really relaxed, and all about capturing this moment before everything changes.

Step One: Maternity Photos – Capturing the Beginning

Your maternity session is usually held around the 32–36 week mark, when your bump is showing beautifully but you’re still feeling comfortable enough to enjoy the session.

These shoots are all about connection—between you and your baby, you and your partner, or the whole family if you already have little ones running around (pets included, of course).

We can shoot at home, in the studio, or out at one of your favourite local spots around Pukekohe or South Auckland. The vibe is always relaxed and personal, with gentle guidance rather than stiff posing.

And the best part? It’s completely free when you book your newborn session.

Step Two: Newborn Photos – Those First Precious Days

Newborn sessions are best held within the first two weeks, when baby is still sleepy and curled up—but that’s flexible depending on how you’re all feeling. Some families prefer a bit more time to settle in, and that’s totally fine.

Your session can take place in the comfort of your home or in my studio—it’s designed to be baby-led, calm and completely unhurried.

These aren’t just photos of your baby—they’re little moments of connection.
The way you hold them.
The tiny hands wrapped around your finger.
The way they stretch and yawn and look at you like they already know who you are.

You don’t need to feel polished or put together. You just need to be in it. That’s what they’ll want to see one day.
