This is something we talk through together during your planning call, so you’re never left guessing.
For all of my branding packages, I encourage you to bring a few outfit options, rather than trying to find “the one perfect look”. We’ll chat about your business, your brand, and who you’re trying to connect with, and I’ll help you choose outfits that make sense for you.
A good starting point is to dress the way you would if you were meeting your ideal clients — polished, comfortable, and still very much yourself.
Most people already have everything they need in their wardrobe, so there’s no need to go on a big shopping spree unless you genuinely want to. Small tweaks, layering, and a couple of different options usually go a long way.
On the day, we mix and match as we go, keeping things relaxed and flexible so your photos feel natural and true to you.
I have access to a range of locations around the Pukekohe and Franklin region, as well as studios in different parts of the country if a studio setting suits your brand better.
That said, many branding sessions work just as well — if not better — in your own space. Your office, workspace, clinic, studio, or place of work can be a great backdrop, especially if you want your photos to feel natural and familiar to the people you work with.
During the planning call, we’ll talk through:
- the kind of photos you need
- how you’ll be using them
- what sort of setting fits your brand
From there, we’ll choose locations that feel right and give you plenty of variety without overcomplicating things.
The goal is always to make the locations work for you — not the other way around.
I don't want you walking away with a beautiful gallery and then feeling stuck about what to do with it. Every branding client gets a short email series after their shoot, with quick videos and tips for using their photos, so you're never left wondering what to do with your gallery.
On top of that, the Brand Refresh, Brand Story Experience, and Social Shoot all include access to my Visual Branding Workshop series, either as a couple of recorded trainings and resources you can pick to suit you, or a live seat, depending on your package.
Inside the trainings, you'll find:
- simple Canva and content planning walkthroughs
- practical guidance on using your photos across your website and socials
- templates you can customise for your own brand
If your package includes a live workshop seat, you'll also get to work through it in person, ask questions as they come up, and see how it applies to your own business in real time.
