The week before your maternity photoshoot we'll be in touch to go over everything - what to wear, where to hang your photos, how your maternity and newborn session works etc.
We'll photograph your maternity session, and pencil book a date for your newborn session. Once we have done your newborn session we will show you all the images from both photoshoots and help you decide on what to print and display in your home
Maternity sessions are best done between 30 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.
These sessions can take place anywhere within the wider Franklin or South Auckland area, or at our studio in Tuakau.
We have a small range of maternity gowns that you are welcome to use for your session. We can show you these at your consult call. We will help you decide on outfits to ensure you are comfortable with whatever you decide to wear.
Partners, your other children, even your fur babies are welcome to join you at your session.
In order to qualify for the free maternity session, you need to book your newborn session with us. So I'm sure you have plenty of questions about whats involved in a newborn session. Below you'll find some of our most frequently asked questions answered for you
Our studio is based in Tuakau, 10 minutes from Pukekohe, South Auckland. If you would prefer us to come to your home to do your newborn photos, we will happily travel anywhere within the Auckland or North Waikato regions, as far down as Hamilton and Cambridge.
Yep, just like in your maternity session. We love to photograph everyone with their newest family member, so siblings, grandparents, even your fur baby is welcome to come along if you wish, and no there is no extra charge to include any of these family members.
Our newborn sessions generally take around 2 hours. They are baby led. This means that our sessions resolve around baby. If they are unsettled or they need a feed then we take the break and sort them out. If your baby is really unsettled and we can't get the photos, then we will happily reschedule your session for another day when they are more happy. Thankfully this doesn't happen often.
Your session fee includes $100 product credit to put towards any printed images of your choice. We will help you work out the best images and ways to display them in your home at your consult and again at your viewing and ordering appointment. Prints start at $150, and include the matching digital file. Wall art starts at $395, and albums start at $995. Most of our clients spend anywhere from $400-$2000 on their photos.
We are huge believers in printed products and encourage all of our clients to print their photos so that your babies can show their kids when they're older. I totally understand however, your wish to share these stunning images on the likes of your social media. Therefore all of our printed images come with the matching digital file. We also have the option to purchase one of our digital collections should you wish to just get digitals.

I'm the creative, dog-owning, lounge dancing, Dr Seuss-loving owner of Accent Photography.
Photography has always been a passion of mine. So, it was no surprise to my friends and family that I chose it as my career path. In 2008, the opportunity to purchase Accent arose. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up. After all, who doesn’t want to do what they love every day?
‘Don’t take life too seriously, no one gets out alive anyway’
I am a big kid at heart, I love to dance and love the theatre. I really feel that my light-hearted approach puts my clients at ease and allows for beautiful natural shots. While I don’t take life too seriously, I do take my photography seriously, striving for amazing shots every time.
